A single Thomas Datt production requires a minimum of 45 hours of focused studio work.
Often, considerably more.
Because emotionally driven music cannot be rushed through a production line.

Thomas Datt began producing music in the late 1990s and has been releasing professionally since the early 2000s. Across more than two decades, he has built an extensive catalogue of original productions and remixes spanning emotive, uplifting, progressive, psychedelic and ambient electronic music.
His career has included original releases and remix work across some of trance music's recognised labels, including A State of Trance, VANDIT and Discover. Industry profiles have described Thomas's music as some of the most emotive in trance, with a sound stretching from ambient and chill-out through to progressive, uplifting and psychedelic trance.
His remix catalogue includes work connected with artists such as Chicane and Paul Oakenfold.
For Chicane, Thomas reimagined the iconic Offshore, with the Thomas Datt Remix later appearing on Chicane's Twenty retrospective collection. His work on Chicane's music also includes No Ordinary Morning, which Thomas transformed through his distinctive ambient approach.
He has also remixed Full Moon Party for Paul Oakenfold, alongside a substantial catalogue of remix work built throughout his career.
Then there are Thomas's own productions.
Tracks including 2v2, Alone, Mass Effect, Long Distance, Prana Flow and The Psychonaut form part of a catalogue that has established his identity as a producer driven by melody, atmosphere and emotion.

CREDITED CUSTOM PRODUCTION
A completely bespoke trance track personally composed and produced by Thomas Datt.
Thomas's creative involvement is publicly credited and he retains his agreed rights and share in the completed work.
This option is designed for artists who want Thomas's production and composition involvement openly acknowledged as part of the track's creative story.
You receive an original track created specifically for your project, with Thomas's name, creative involvement and more than 25 years of emotive trance production experience openly attached to the work.

PRIVATE UNCREDITED GHOST PRODUCTION
Complete privacy.
Complete discretion.
A bespoke Thomas Datt production created exclusively for you.
Thomas personally composes, arranges and produces an original trance track around your musical vision.
Upon completion, the agreed intellectual property rights are transferred to you and Thomas's name is not publicly attached to the work.
No production credit.
No composer credit.
No public association with Thomas.
His involvement in the creation of the track remains private and confidential in accordance with the agreed production terms.
You are not purchasing a pre-produced ghost track from a catalogue.
You are privately commissioning Thomas Datt to create an original piece of music specifically for your artist identity.
The track is yours to release without the public recognition of Thomas's name being attached to the work.
This is the highest level of privacy, ownership and creative discretion Thomas offers.
THE STANDARD PRODUCTION PROCESS
Standard private productions are created over an approximate three-month period.
This allows Thomas the creative space required to develop the track properly rather than force the production into an artificial deadline.
Both Credited Custom Production and Private Uncredited Ghost Production are available through the standard production process.
Private production availability is deliberately limited because Thomas personally creates every track.
Your project is not outsourced to another producer.
It is not passed to a production team.
And it is not built by an anonymous studio operating under the Thomas Datt name.
When you commission Thomas, Thomas creates your music.
EXPRESS PRIVATE PRODUCTION
Some projects cannot wait three months.
A release opportunity may have appeared.
A label deadline may be approaching.
Or your project may require priority access to Thomas's studio schedule.
For selected commissions, Express Private Production may be available.
Express production is available for both Credited Custom Production and Private Uncredited Ghost Production.
Your project is moved into a priority production schedule, requiring Thomas to restructure his existing studio commitments and concentrate his creative capacity around your track.
The quality of the production does not change.
The creative process is not outsourced.
And your track is not handed to another producer to meet the deadline.
Thomas still personally composes and produces your music.
Express Production provides priority access to his time.
Because of the concentrated studio capacity and schedule commitment required, Express commissions are accepted on a strictly limited basis.
RADIO EDITS
Taking Your Completed Track Into A Different Listening Space
A radio edit is not created before the main track.
The full production comes first.
The complete musical journey.
The development.
The tension.
The release.
The track as it was originally intended to exist.
Once the main production has been completed, Thomas can create a separate Radio Edit of the finished track.
The purpose is not simply to cut minutes from the original production.
A successful radio edit needs to retain the identity and emotional impact of the track while presenting the music within a more concise structure.
Transitions may need to change.
Sections may need to be rebalanced.
The emotional journey needs to happen within a shorter period of time.
And the track still needs to feel complete.
Radio Edit production is available as an additional service following completion of the main commissioned track.
It is separately commissioned and is not automatically included within the original production.
REMIX PRODUCTION
A Different Track. A Different Creative Process.
Thomas also accepts selected remix commissions.
Remixing is not the same as creating an original track from a blank project.
It begins with an existing piece of music.
But what Thomas is able to create from that music depends significantly on the production material available to him.
Where the original supporting track creation files and production elements are available, Thomas can work directly with the musical foundations of the track.
Where those files no longer exist or cannot be supplied, the process can become considerably more involved.
Musical elements may need to be identified.
Sounds may need to be recreated.
Parts may need to be reconstructed.
The musical foundations of the original may need to be rebuilt before the creative remix process can properly begin.
For this reason, remix commissions are structured according to the production material available at the beginning of the project.
REMIX WITH SUPPORTING TRACK CREATION FILES
For projects where the relevant original track creation files and supporting production material can be supplied.
Thomas works with the available musical elements to develop his interpretation of the track and create a new remix production.
REMIX REQUIRING MUSICAL RECREATION
For tracks where the original creation files or essential production elements are unavailable.
Thomas may first need to recreate significant musical components of the original track before the remix production can begin.
This requires an additional level of production, reconstruction and creative studio work.
Remix commissions are offered as a separate specialist service.
